A true multigenerational Bostonian, Stephanie is one of the most reliable and committed clinicians we have at the practice. She must be, since she is the supervisor of our largest clinic! That said, she does lack the traditional Boston accent… I’m not really sure what happened there.
As a clinician she is one of the most thorough and prepared clinicians we have ever had. Stephanie is an amazing blend of fun/playful, structured/detailed, and passionate/prepared - the whole package. She is also known for an amazing rendition of “Wheels On The Bus” that is second to, well… maybe a few.
You can often see (Steph and) her patients jumping up and down with excitement. If you watch closely, you can see her amazing Broadway caliber theatrics taking place during her sessions. I once asked her how she was able to perform so many roles and parts all while taking meticulous notes and tracking data. She quickly credited years of drama club, improv club, cheerleading, swim meets, and then went on to list about a 100 other clubs and organizations she has been a member or president of over the years.
By now you may be able to guess, Stephanie is a perfect 4. By that I mean, academically. Seriously, I’m not making that up; She earned a perfect 4.0 GPA every single year in both undergraduate and graduate school. For those of you who are keeping score, that 2 bachelor’s degrees (Bachelor of Science, Communication Disorders and Bachelor of Arts, Psychology of Disability) as well as a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. I know, WOW.
Before starting her clinical fellowship with us, Stephanie trained and had placements at some of the country’s most coveted settings (including Boston’s Children’s Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation Center). She has also worked in various research and teaching positions for many years.
We are very happy to have Stephanie supervise our clinic in Brookline! We can’t wait to see what comes next!
