The Zebra Speech Scholarship program:  the name tells you what it is, but let me tell you how it works and who it is for.   Hopefully we can answer some of the more general questions about the program here, but feel free to contact us online if you have any other questions!

How are our scholarships funded?
Generally speaking, Zebra Speech Scholarships are not funded through 3rd party grants or donations.   Upwards of 98% are funded directly by us.  We set aside “scholarship” resources each year for patients that come to the practice.

Why do you offer scholarships?
We believe it’s the right thing to do.  There are many children who need services, and not all families are able to afford them.   We do our best to help as many families and children as we can afford.  Unfortunately, we do not have unlimited resources, and are not always able to help everyone who needs assistance.

Who are the scholarships for?
Patients who are currently/actively enrolled at the practice.

Who is eligible for a scholarship?
Eligibility is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.   There are a number of factors that go into eligibility decisions.

Often times recipients come from a lower-income family, families without insurance, or families that have had a significant life event that has impacted their ability to continue to afford services (e.g. loss of a job, death in the family, etc.)

How do you apply?
Candidates/recipients are most often identified by our staff once they become aware of a difficulty a family may be having.   From time to time, we do also receive requests from existing patients who email us (or contact us online) specifically asking about the program.

How many scholarships do you offer each year?
There really is not a set number of scholarships or families.   We provide assistance for as long as we have the resources available.   Depending on the types of support/needs families have, it impacts the availability of resources each year.  Unfortunately, we do not have unlimited resources and are not able to help everyone that may need assistance.

If you are in the position to and are interested in donating help other families in need of services please contact us online here!
